Chinese Philosophy Poster Project
Objective: To demonstrate an understanding of the three major beliefs of Ancient China by designing a poster which teaches Confucianism, Taoism (Daoism), and Legalism.
Your Poster Report: Your Poster Report must be neat, informative and show evidence of understanding the subject. All writing on the poster must be in ink, marker, typewritten or word-processed. NO PENCIL. It must be free of errors. The final poster must be pleasing to the eye.
Construction paper will be provided by the teacher.
Instructions: Students will create an original Poster which teaches the three basic Chinese Philosophies: Confucianism, Daoism (Taoism) and Legalism.
Creating the Poster:
1. Consult your notes, articles or books so that you are clear as to the philosophies of Ancient China, Confucianism, Legalism, and
Daoism (Taoism).
2. Divide your poster into three parts. Create symbols, pictures, illustrations, words, sentences or other items which represent and explain each philosophy.
DO NOT copy sentences or paragraphs from other sources. This is plagiarism and will result in a "F" grade.
3. Using construction paper, markers, colored pencils, or crayons, create a poster which teaches the three philosophies. Arrange the information on the poster in a way which will teach the three philosophies. Be creative. Remember, no pencil.
4. Make sure your have your name, date and period on the back of the poster.
The Final Poster Project will be neat, attractive to the eye, free of any errors, and of high quality. Extra and creative touches are encouraged and appreciated. This project may be displayed.
