Monk Recruitment Poster Project

Objective: To demonstrate an understanding of the contributions of Medieval monks by creating a recruitment poster.

Your Project: You are in charge of recruiting new monks. In order to advertise these positions, you have decided to create a recruitment poster which explains about the life of a Medieval monk.

The project must contain the following:

1. A picture, drawing or clip art of a monk or something in the life of a monk
2. A description of the tasks which monks are required to do. At least 8 facts about the life of a monk.
3. Advertising language which makes the reader want to become a monk.
4. Color on the poster. No pencil.
5. Your name date and period.

Procedure

1. Consult your notes or other resources for information.
2. Determine the design of your mini-poster. What do monks do? What are their lives like?
3. Use advertising language. Make the position sound attractive. What words will you use to get the reader to want to become a monk?
4. Add a picture or drawing of something to do with monk life
5. Place all required information onto the poster.
6. Proofread.
7.Place your full name, date, and period on the back of the poster.

Your final project should be neat, creative, and pleasing to the eye. The writing should be accurate and free of errors. Do not use pencil!

Remember, you are actually teaching the reader about the contributions of medieval monks and their importance. Your information must be accurate.
