Islam Poster Project


Objective:
To demonstrate an understanding of the achievements of Islam and its culture.

Your Poster: Your Poster must be neat, informative and show evidence of understanding the subject. All writing on the poster must be in ink, marker, typewritten or word-processed. NO PENCIL. It must be free of errors. The final poster must be pleasing to the eye.
Construction paper will be provided by the teacher.

Instructions: Students will create an original Poster which displays four aspects of Muslim culture: The Five Pillars of Islam, Muslim writing, Arabic language, and Muslim achievements.


1. Consult your notes, articles or books so that you are clear as to the achievements and other information about Ancient Islam.
Create a rough draft of your project.
When you are ready, get the final materials.

2. You must have four types of information on your poster.

A. You must have a display of the Five Pillars of Islam with a short explanation.
B. You must write your name in Arabic calligraphy.
C. You must display at least ten words we get from the Arabic language.
D. You must illustrate and label at least eight areas of achievement of Ancient Islam.

Students may have four separate sections, or all parts may be mixed together.

3. Using construction paper, markers, colored pencils, or crayons, create the poster. Arrange the information on the poster in a way which will be attractive and informative.
Be creative. Remember, no regular pencil.

4. Make sure you have your name, date and period on the back of the poster.


The Final Poster Project will be neat, attractive to the eye, free of any errors, and of high quality. Extra and creative touches are encouraged and appreciated. This project may be displayed.
