Greek Poetry Project
Poetry Anthology

Objective: To demonstrate an understanding of ancient Greek culture by creating an original collection of poetry.

The Project You will create a collection of poems which demonstrate an understanding of Greek culture. You will include a variety of poetic styles and will address the many aspects of Greek culture such as religion, government, education, etc. You will be writing most of the poems in class and will be collecting all the final copies into a folder which will be provided to you by the teacher.
Each poem will be approximately 10 lines or the equivalent and will be typed or written in ink (NO pencil). Each page will have an illustration, clip art, drawing, or decoration (NO pencil). You will also have a cover sheet and a table of contents.
You will have a minimum of 12 poems.

Requirements:

1.The project must have at least 12 poems. The poems will be in a variety of styles. These will be typed or in Ink. There will be no errors.

2. The project must have Illustrations, clip art, drawings or decorations. These may be hand drawn or gathered from the computer.

3. Each poem or group of poems must have a title.

4.. Each poem or cluster of poems should be at least 10 lines.

5. You must have a cover page with the title of the project, name, date, and period.

6. You must have a table of contents.

7. You must have the poems collected and placed in a folder (the teacher will provide this).

8.The project must be neat, colorful, pleasing to the eye and must contain accurate information
