Egyptian Haiku Project





Students will create at least three Haiku which describe the Nile river and ancient Egypt.

1. The student will write three haiku
2. The student will place the haiku on construction paper or cardstock.
3. The student will decorate the finished haiku project with egyptian inspired artwork.


A Haiku is a Japanese/Chinese poem consisting of three lines with seventeen syllables. These poems are usually, but not always about nature.



Directions:

1st line 5 syllables
2nd line 7 syllables
3rd line 5 syllables
